Public Safety Officer

You will provide peace of mind to our patients and staff by monitoring situations on and off campus, ensuring a safe environment for all, and responding appropriately to emergency situations and delicate patient matters using strong people skills and professional judgment.

Public Safety Officer

3pm-11:30pm, with every other weekend and holiday requirement

• Experience in a healthcare setting or in a security/customer service-related field preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to think independently yet listen to and work with a team.
• Ability to maintain confidential information and handle confidential matters.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to handle and resolve recurring problems.

High school diploma required.

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record for the last 10 years.
• Must be certified or eligible for Commonwealth of Pennsylvania State Lethal Weapons Training Certification (Act 235).
• Must complete Managing of Aggressive Behavior or MOAB parts 1, 2 & 3 within 4 months of employment.

• Up to $6,000 per year tuition reimbursement.
• Up to 120 hours of paid time off per year based on full/part‑time status.
