Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Control revenues by receiving and disbursing a variety of financial transactions for merchandise or services while providing a high level of customer service.

• Organize cash drawers to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Resolve customer complaints, answer questions and provide necessary information
• Receive payment by cash, debit or credit cards
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to customers
• Calculate and balance cash drawer at the end of each shift
• Stock shelves, rotate merchandise and price products
• Keep deli food cooked and case stocked
• Keep soda, coffee, cappuccino and condiments full
• Stock walk-in cooler
• Clean, stock and maintain beer cave
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• No previous related experience required
• Must have effective communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills

Preferred

• High School diploma or GED

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English
• Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

  The cashier must consistently be able to assess, anticipate and meet guests' needs and respond quickly without losing focus or projecting a mood that detracts from guests' dining experience. This requires practical knowledge of industry customer service standards

  Cashiers must clearly communicate in a professional manner with guests, vendors, coworkers and management. They must understand instructions, read written company memorandums and communicate when he or she needs more direction
