Job Title: Production Specialist Lead (Production Coordinator)
Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1:00 AM
Duration: 12 Months
Job SummaryThe Production Specialist Lead is responsible for coordinating and leading production floor activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role supports daily production planning, resource coordination, safety compliance, and continuous improvement while working hands‑on with production teams during second‑shift operations.
Key Responsibilities Production Planning & Scheduling- Coordinate all phases of production including planning, scheduling, and daily execution.
- Attend daily Tier 1 production meetings.
- Perform daily safety area walkthroughs.
- Set up production areas and assign workstations at the start of each shift.
- Ensure availability of materials, equipment, and supplies required for production.
- Review expired material reports daily and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Support material staging and ensure proper closeout of materials at the end of shift.
- Monitor production performance, output, and equipment downtime.
- Complete shift pass‑down documentation and Tier 2 reporting.
- Review hourly production metrics and identify productivity or quality concerns.
- Serve as the primary liaison between shifts and cross‑functional teams, including Quality.
- Resolve day‑to‑day production issues to maintain smooth workflow and continuity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate near‑miss events or potential safety concerns.
- Recommend and support process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and waste reduction.
- Perform assembly of components, devices, and final products as needed.
- Support operations across all production areas with limited supervision.
- Maintain product quality through adherence to SOPs, training, and good manufacturing practices.
- Strong organizational, coordination, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Knowledge of production processes and quality systems in regulated environments.
- Proficiency with scheduling, tracking, and production reporting tools.
- Ability to lead by example on the production floor.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
