Join our team as an Assistant Director of Finance! You will lead the accounting and finance operations, ensuring every penny is accounted for and meeting Aimbridge Hospitality standards. From accounts payable and payroll to bank reconciliations and month‑end close, your expertise makes a real difference. This position is an overtime eligible manager (OEM); overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.
Key Responsibilities- Cash Command Center: Supervise the General Cashier, reconcile daily deposits for Rooms, Food, Beverage, and House, and maintain controls over all hotel cashier banks.
- AR Super Sleuth: Record all city ledger payments accurately, manage AR collections with a trace system, and lead weekly credit meetings and monthly reviews with the General Manager.
- Accounting Maestro: Oversee all accounting activities, including reconciliations, flash reports, and income audits, ensuring compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and SOPs.
- Payroll Perfectionist: Process payroll, ensuring all paychecks comply with applicable state and local laws and tax regulations.
- Training Trailblazer & Audit Ally: Provide accounting guidance to Night Audit and Front Office staff and serve as Manager on Duty when required.
- Month‑End Maestro: Lead the monthly close, collaborating with the Director of Finance and General Manager to review and finalize financial statements.
- Minimum five years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or an Associate’s degree with at least three years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of related experience.
- Supervisory experience required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced spreadsheet and report manipulation.
- Strong understanding of financial information and data, basic arithmetic, and the ability to resolve issues raised by coworkers and guests.
