Tohono O'odham Community College (TOCC) is seeking a dedicated, time‑limited (grant‑funded) full‑time Office Coordinator to join the O'odham Ñi’oki Ki (O'odham Language Center).
Reporting directly to the NSF Project Director, you will be the cornerstone of our administrative and operational workflows. This role plays a vital part in streamlining daily office management, managing budgets, tracking deliverables for multiple grant initiatives, and facilitating smooth communication between our campus departments and external tribal districts. Hiring Hourly Rate: $21.00 – $22.00
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily office operations, scheduling, supply management, and equipment use to ensure efficient workflow and communication across multiple grants and projects.
- Support the planning, tracking, and coordination of grant‑funded activities, timelines, and deliverables; assist program leadership with data tracking, reporting, and special implementation projects across multiple districts and community sites.
- Monitor and track budgets, purchase orders, and expenditures; oversee core administrative processes including requisitions, purchasing, and travel coordination.
- Draft and manage digital and hardcopy correspondence, reports, and vital grant documentation while ensuring absolute accuracy and organization.
- Serve as a central, professional point of contact for internal staff, academic departments, and external community partners.
- Coordinate full logistics, scheduling, and material distribution for meetings, trainings, and community outreach events.

What You’ll Bring:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of progressive administrative or office management experience.
- Demonstrated experience supporting programs, complex projects, or grant‑funded initiatives.
Required Knowledge and
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of modern office management, project coordination, and clerical tracking systems.
- Exceptional organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills with the ability to balance multiple timelines simultaneously.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), database management, and administrative office systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to speak and understand O’odham.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of the history and contemporary issues facing Native and Indigenous people.
- Previous experience working in Indigenous, educational, or community‑based settings.
Licensing & Background Requirements:
- Must possess a valid state Driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must successfully pass a comprehensive criminal background check.
Work Environment &
Schedule:
- Work hours 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required.
- Classified as Sedentary Work, primarily involving sitting, typing, and light physical demands up to 10 pounds.
- Requires frequent physical activities such as fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive wrist or hand motions.
- Requires close visual acuity for data preparation/analyzing, extensive reading, and computer use.
- No substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions (standard climate‑controlled office setting).
