Position: Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) SR238 Widening, SR347 to 2.25 miles west
Location: Maricopa

Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) – Project 38105, SR 238 Widening

The City of Maricopa seeks a qualified Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) firm or team to provide Pre‑Construction Services and deliver a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for construction services as the CMAR for CIP Project No. 38105, SR 238 Widening (SR 347 to 2.25 miles west).

The project is located on SR 238, extending from the intersection of SR 347 and Smith‑Enke Road to the western city limits. The 95% level project plan will be available to the selected CMAR. The project scope includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Adding one lane in each direction beginning approximately 500 feet west of the SR 347 and Smith‑Enke Road intersection and extending approximately 1.89 miles west.
  • Providing pavement reconstruction for the westernmost 2,000 feet of the project limits, maintaining the existing roadway width.
  • Constructing curb and gutter, and sidewalks.
  • Installing traffic signals at the Bashas’ and Loma Road intersections with SR 238 and installing future traffic signals at the Roosevelt Road and Green Road intersections.
  • Installing drainage channels throughout the project corridor.
  • Coordinating with various state and private entities and stakeholders for MSIDD canal abandoning, acquiring right of way, drainage easements, and temporary construction easements.
  • Undergrounding electrical lines, including joint trench coordination with dry utility companies.
  • Coordinating with various utility companies to address and resolve potential utility conflicts.
  • Coordinating with ED3 regarding substation installation.
