Job Description
Turner & Townsend seeks a Senior Program Scheduler to join our team to create and manage scheduling for large-scale construction programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for schedule consulting at program level (overseeing many projects) in all areas of scheduling from pre‑construction to close out.
Responsibilities- Implement best practices and report trends internally and externally.
- Create and analyse project schedules using Primavera P6 and Tableau for a portfolio of projects.
- Review and understand engineering, procurement and construction schedule logic.
- Create, manage, and oversee schedules using the critical path method.
- Actively work with project managers and construction firms to maintain schedule integrity.
- Produce high‑level and 1, 3, 6‑month look‑ahead from P6 for reporting.
- Create logic‑driven schedules from limited project information; produce a conceptual schedule from initiation through closeout, identify major phases, and discuss dependencies.
- Utilize P6 to:
- create end‑to‑end master schedules using rolling‑wave planning (L2‑3 detail).
- create detailed construction schedules incorporating S/C commitments (L4‑5 detail).
- update schedules in line with the program calendar following standard planning principles.
- load resources and produce management over/under‑utilization summaries.
- identify and trend movement to key float paths.
- track quantity using S‑curves.
- Collaborate with contractors and sub‑contractors regularly.
- Prepare and update monthly progress reports.
- Actively monitor and communicate any possible project issues that could delay the schedule.
- Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or a field related to construction.
- Minimum 5–7 years of applicable experience.
- Certification by AACE in planning/scheduling is preferred.
- Prior experience building a complex master schedule.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting.
- Ability to convert data into Tableau reports and graphics.
- Excellent communication skills.
The salary range for this full‑time role is $140,000 - $180,000 per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, not the total compensation package. The company reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate experience and qualifications.
