We are seeking a highly qualified Anesthesiology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Cameron, AZ. This position offers a chance to work in a dynamic hospital setting with a broad range of cases and a supportive team of Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs). This is an ongoing need, providing a stable and rewarding work environment.

• Work Schedule:

  • Standard Shift: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM).
  • No Call:
    The position does not require any on-call responsibilities.

• Practice Setting:

  • The hospital features a diverse range of procedures, including:
    • Orthopedics and orthopedic trauma
    • General surgery and general trauma
    • Spine surgery, neurosurgery
    • Cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab)
    • Ambulatory procedures and endoscopy
  • The department operates with 11 ORs in the main hospital and 2 in the ambulatory surgery center.
  • The locum physician will not be assigned to obstetrics (OB) cases.

• Patient Volume:

  • The daily patient census ranges from 50-60 cases, ensuring a busy and engaging workday.

• Support & Resources:

  • Support Staff:
    You will work alongside a skilled team of CRNAs who assist in providing top-notch anesthetic care.
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR):
    The hospital utilizes Cerner and SaAnesthesia systems for efficient documentation and patient management.

• Board Certification:
  • Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Licensure:
  • Must hold an active Arizona medical license, with IMLC licensure also accepted.
• Certifications:
  • Current ACLS and PALS certifications are required.

  • Engage in a wide variety of surgical cases, offering a broad scope of practice.
• No Call Requirement:
