Hospitalist/Nocturnist Position

Hiring a Hospitalist/Nocturnist to deliver high-quality inpatient medical care for the Indian Health Service at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Chinle, AZ. This role places you at the heart of a tribal community health mission, providing direct patient care to an underserved population in the Navajo Nation. You'll work as part of a dedicated clinical team committed to improving health outcomes for patients who depend on this facility as their primary source of hospital-level care.

Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharge planning for hospitalized patients. Diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions presenting in an inpatient setting. Coordinate care with specialist consultants, nursing staff, and ancillary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective patient transitions. Respond to rapid-response and code events, providing stabilization and emergency management as needed during assigned shift.

Procedures:
Prefer LP, paracentesis, thoracentesis, central lines. Procedure backup:
Surgery and ER available 24/7. Anesthesia performs intubations and is back up for LP's. RT available for ventilated patients 24/7.

Required Documents:
Active Physician license. Active BLS/CPR Certification. Active DEA. Board certification.
