Special Education Teacher – $50/hr – Maricopa, AZ – In-Person – 36 Weeks

Position Overview:

The Special Education Teacher provides high-quality instructional and behavioral support services to preschool-aged students. Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, this educator delivers individualized instruction, supports IEP goals, provides small-group and direct services, and collaborates with early-childhood staff to ensure students receive the interventions and accommodations needed for successful participation and growth.

• Preschool Special Education positions
• Serving students with mild to moderate developmental, academic, and social-emotional needs
• Focus on early intervention, foundational academic skills, communication support, and readiness for inclusion
• Strong multidisciplinary support team
• Virtual interview required

• Provide early-childhood special education instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Deliver small-group, one-on-one, and classroom-embedded interventions
• Support student development in communication, academics, social skills, and adaptive functioning
• Document services and maintain required early-learning progress notes
• Collaborate closely with general education preschool staff and related service providers
• Implement behaviour-support strategies and instructional accommodations

• Active Arizona Early Childhood Special Education Certification
• Early Childhood endorsement required
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• CPR (if applicable), TB screening, and health certificate per state guidelines
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
