Position: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) in San Tan Valley, AZ
Location: San Tan Valley

Embark on a meaningful contract assignment as a Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing for the  academic year in the vibrant area near San Tan Valley, AZ. This part-time opportunity invites you to support one second grade student with hearing needs, making a direct and lasting impact through personalized instruction and advocacy.

Key Qualifications and

Experience:
  • Credentialed teacher with endorsement or certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education.
  • Experience working with school-age children, preferably in elementary settings.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of communication techniques and assistive technologies for students with hearing loss.
  • Strong skills in collaboration with school teams, students, and families.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized instructional support to a single 2nd grade student, focusing on engagement and individualized learning.
  • Assess student progress and adapt strategies to optimize educational outcomes.
  • Consult and collaborate with staff and parents regarding student needs, accommodations, and modifications.
  • Provide annual training and resources for staff as required.
  • Maintain thorough records and participate in meetings as needed, ensuring compliance with IEP goals.
  • Role may expand based on enrollment of new students with hearing needs during the school year.

  • Compensation between $43 and $48 per hour, paid via W2 contract for the duration of the school year.
