Description
The Instructional Designer is an innovative leader committed to the mission, vision, and values of Northland Pioneer College (NPC). The Instructional Designer reports directly to the Faculty in Instructional Support/Chair of the Instructional Support Department, works directly with faculty on course design for academic programs in collaboration with the Faculty in Instructional Support/Department Chair and Curriculum Coordinator. Responsibilities include teaching 6 credits annually as a 12‑month faculty position, participating in planning, implementation, and assessment activities for faculty teaching online, hybrid, and face‑to‑face courses, and emphasizing culturally inclusive pedagogy/andragogy, Universal Design, and Open Educational Resources.

Ability to engage the 21st‑century community college student – both traditional and non‑traditional students. Ability to develop sound pedagogy/andragogy. Proficiency:

Ability to teach faculty to utilize the Learning Management System, Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computerized systems. Must have demonstrated experience with 21st‑century teaching modalities that involve technology. Proficiency:
