The K-12 Instructional Specialist is a master teacher and instructional leader who bridges curriculum, instruction, and professional development to enhance teaching and learning. This role focuses on supporting best practices in instruction, adherence to standards, and effective implementation of district-adopted programs and resources, both core and supplemental. The K-12 Instructional Specialist will regularly review appropriate data sources to ensure that program implementation and adherence contribute to the district's student growth and performance goals.

Beyond content expertise, this position provides leadership and oversight in instructional planning and professional growth initiatives across all disciplines, aligning with the district's instructional vision and commitment to excellence in education.

  Collaboration:
  
  Serve as a liaison between district leadership, site administrators, and instructional staff to align curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices. Lead efforts to ensure fidelity in the implementation of district-adopted programs and instructional initiatives. Collaborate with other Instructional Specialists and departments to promote interdisciplinary teaching and learning strategies.
• Professional Development:
  Design, implement, and evaluate professional learning opportunities for teachers and administrators. Mentor and support teachers in refining instructional practices through observations, coaching cycles, and feedback. Train educators in the use of instructional materials, state standards, and data-driven instructional practices.
• Curriculum and Assessment:
  Provide leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of curricula, including supplemental programs and intervention systems. Oversee the adoption and integration of textbooks, resources, and technology tools. Develop and analyze district-level assessments to inform instruction and drive continuous improvement.
• Instructional Support:
  Model effective teaching strategies and co-teach to support classroom instruction. Assist teachers and administrators in creating specialized programs or projects that align with district goals. Facilitate the integration of instruction with other content areas to enhance student engagement and achievement.
• Program Oversight and Communication:
  Communicate curriculum and instructional updates to staff, parents, and the community. Support district and school efforts to secure grant funding for instructional programs and resources. Maintain visibility across district campuses, working with diverse teams to promote academic excellence.
