Salary: $45,500 to $65,000 per year
Essentials Duties and Responsibilities- Meets and instructs assigned classes.
- Develops and maintains a classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Prepares and provides written evidence of preparation.
- Encourages students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior.
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and media.
- Implements district’s philosophy of education and instructional goals.
- Takes precautions to protect students, equipment, materials and facilities.
- Identifies possible learning disabilities and consults specialists as needed.
- Evaluates student progress regularly.
- Maintains accurate, complete, and correct records in compliance with law and policy.
- Assists in enforcing school rules, regulations, and Board policy.
- Makes provisions for being available to students and parents outside the instructional day if required.
- Monitors student progress to guide ongoing instruction.
- Documents progress relative to lesson objectives.
- Utilizes instructional strategies to foster deep understanding and application of content.
- Builds learner self‑direction and ownership of learning.
- Collaborates with learners, families, colleagues, and community members.
- Current Arizona teaching certificate.
- Appropriately certified in Core Content Area.
- SEI Endorsement required.
Education and Experience
- High school teaching experience.
- Endorsement or extensive coursework in multiple content areas.
- High school practicum or teaching experience.
Knowledge of
- Best practices in teaching and learning.
- Writing and executing lesson plans with subgroups and objectives.
- Student engagement practices.
- Use of technology and online learning platforms.
Skilled in
- Locating and synthesizing best practices, research, and emerging concepts.
- Building relationships and enthusiasm with students, faculty, and families.
- Making data‑driven decisions.
- Organizing and planning instructional support based on individual needs.
- Using data and technology to personalize learning.
- Utilizing frameworks, platforms, and technology tools to enhance productivity and maintain records.

The employee frequently stands, talks or hears, walks, or sits, and uses hands, arms and fingers to manipulate data or handle supplies. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs is required. Visual demands include close, distance, color, peripheral and depth perception. Noise level is moderate to loud. The position is fast‑paced and may be stressful.
