Job Summary
The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work at West Texas A&M University invites applications for a 9‑month Instructor-level position in Social Work, preferably beginning in Fall 2026. The successful applicant will serve as the Field Director for the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) Program and oversee field education, including student internships, placement coordination, community partnership development, and support of student success in practicum settings.
Responsibilities also include undergraduate teaching, advising, and service.

- Undergraduate teaching, advising, and service responsibilities.
- Master of Social Work (MSW) from a CSWE‑accredited program.
- Minimum two years of post‑MSW professional social work experience.
- Ability to teach effectively in both face‑to‑face and online formats.
- Current clinical licensure (LCSW).
- Current social work licensure in Texas.
- Demonstrated clinical practice experience in mental health, behavioral health, healthcare, or related settings.
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or supporting social work students or early‑career professionals in applied practice settings.
- Experience developing and sustaining community partnerships and field placement opportunities.
- Letter of interest or cover letter.
- Curriculum Vitae.

- Three professional references.
