Open until Filled - QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3‑6 months of experience in childcare, education, or working with children in related activities. If the applicant does not have an associate degree, the applicant must be able to pass a Highly Qualified paraprofessional test.
- Essential functions may include the following tasks, knowledge, skills and other characteristics:
Observes and monitors control of students’ behavior in the classroom, playground, lunchroom, school buses and other areas. Supervises large groups of students. - Establishes, maintains and promotes a classroom atmosphere that ensures the emotional and physical safety and well‑being of students, emphasizing mutual respect, self‑worth, self‑discipline, cooperation, consideration and responsibility.
- Assesses student needs and develops, implements and evaluates daily lesson plans for students to include scheduled activities and materials.
- Modifies instruction of the program to meet the needs of each child.
- Plans, organizes and displays classroom materials, space and time appropriate to curricular activities.
