Special Education Teacher | Tubac, Arizona

Support students growth and learning in a small-group setting as a Special Education Teacher for a local school. This contract position is designed for educators dedicated to personalized instruction and collaboration, working closely with a supportive classroom team.

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Previous experience teaching students with exceptionalities is highly valued.
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.

• Ability to adapt instruction to individual student needs and changing class sizes.

• Facilitate two instructional sessions each day on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: a morning session (7:45 AM11:00 AM) and an afternoon session (11:00 AM3:00 PM).
• Deliver engaging lessons to small groups (currently 3 students in the morning and 4 in the afternoon), with additional students joining throughout the school year based on evaluations.
• Collaborate with two dedicated paraprofessionals to ensure each student receives appropriate support.
• Conduct regular progress monitoring and make data-driven instructional decisions.
• Participate in IEP meetings, maintain documentation, and communicate with families as needed.
• Dedicate Wednesdays to planning, preparation, and professional collaboration.
