ENERGY SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE Navopache Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NEC)

NEC is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Energy Services Representative. NEC is situated within the White Mountains of Arizona, 180 miles NE of Phoenix. It is a place of beautiful scenery and mild climate, with a small community atmosphere where you know your neighbors. The area abounds in opportunities for hiking, hunting, fishing and other outdoors sports.

Basic Functions of Position

Provide for the professional and efficient operations required to deliver prompt, courteous and accurate service to NEC members by receiving and processing new requests for electrical service.

Represent NEC in the promotion and implementation of its products and services for an interactive member experience.

Maintain and develop renewable resources, energy efficiency and demand side management programs that ensure regulatory compliance and benefit NEC’s members.

• Take requests for new service applications which originate at NEC headquarters and coordinate same with NEC Area offices.
• Work directly with NEC members on a daily basis and provide information and guidance as needed within the guidelines of NEC's policies, rates and various specifications.
• Work directly with NEC members, developers, contractors and NEC personnel in matters relating to the availability of service, costs, specifications and contracts, by phone and by written correspondence.
• Initiate and prepare Line Extension, Subdivision, Three Phase, Irrigation/Water Pumping, Street Lighting and other service related agreements. Obtain executed agreements, related documents and maintain files of same.
• Respond to NEC members’ inquiries for ACC mandated programs, including but not limited to renewable resources, energy efficiency and demand side management programs.
• Receive, evaluate and follow through to completion the applications for NEC’s renewable resource and energy efficiency programs.
• Maintain a working knowledge of retail products which assist with system load-control, and promote efficient use of energy.
• Monitor inventory levels for retail products, and advise supervisor of order requirements, using the NEC inventory management and member billing software.
• Assist in development and modification of renewable resources, energy efficiency and demand side management programs.
• Fully understand NEC’s tariffed rates and programs, and their correct application to member accounts; be able to recommend beneficial rates and programs to all members and follow best practices for member care.
• Obtain information from members, looking for environmental changes that could affect energy consumption, and provide recommendations to lower energy costs through combinations of conservation methods and energy efficiency suggestions.
• Understand NEC policies and procedures in areas of responsibility to promote compliance with ACC & NMPRC guidelines.
• Perform work in accordance with NEC's Safety Rules and Procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Special Duties
• Compile data for annual compliance filings, including, but not limited to:
  • Estimated billings
  • Net metering
• Prepare annual financial audit data requests.
• Prepare data for other regulatory filings as requested.
• Must be available and able to travel.
• Must be willing to work irregular and/or overtime hours as duties may require.
• Work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment, to develop and implement projects.
• Take responsibility for and be accountable to producing deliverables and meeting deadlines as assigned.

• High School Education or equivalent.
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration or related field is preferred

• Have 5 years of progressive experience in consumer oriented discipline.
• Experience to include use of industry-related technology and software.

• Working knowledge of Rural Utility Service and/or NEC’s construction specifications, the National Electrical Safety Code, the National Electrical Code, and the characteristics of electrical distribution systems.
