We’re hiring an Autonomous Mining Controls Specialist (Command Operator) to oversee shift-based autonomous haul truck operations. This role ensures the safe, efficient execution of the mine plan using autonomous dispatch and control systems while meeting daily production targets.
LocationBased at a mining operation in a small Arizona community offering subsidized housing, recreational amenities, and a strong work-life balance, within driving distance of a major metro area.
Key Responsibilities- Execute the mine plan using autonomous dispatch systems
- Monitor system performance and production KPIs
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting, and shift handovers
- Promote and enforce workplace health and safety standards
- Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams
- Support training and continuous improvement initiatives
- High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related operational experience
- or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or mining-related field
- Strong communication skills in English
- Proficient with computer systems and operational software
- Ability to prioritize, make decisions, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with fleet management or autonomous dispatch systems
- Engineering or multi-discipline mining experience
