** What You Will Do*
* Under general supervision, collaborate with others to give direction on and improve performance of site Industrial Control Systems.

+ Follows and promotes Freeport-Mc Mo Ran  safety and environmental programs and practices, communicates safety implications related to Process Automation (PA) and directs Industrial Control System (ICS) cybersecurity practices and policies.

+ Gives directions on Process Automation engineering topics and projects.

+ Develops and participates in engineering project proposals, and engineering designs, and has ability to verify the quality of project work meets site Process Automation standards.

+ Maintains the performance of ICS hardware and software. Identifies opportunities to implement process improvement and optimization through automation while improving Operator and Operations effectiveness.

+ Participates in the implementation and maintenance of the Process Control Network (PCN) while maintaining plant performance, cyber security, and plant historian systems.

+ Specifies and reviews specialized, analytical and advanced instrumentation solutions to be integrated into the site ICS.

+ Implements Process Automation equipment life cycle management and develops plans proposals, and budgetary estimates to ensure equipment remains current and up to date.

+ Performs other duties as required.

** What You Bring To Freeport*
* Minimum Requirements:

+ Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline and three (3) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation, OR

+ Master's degree in appropriate Engineering discipline and two (2) years related experience in engineering relevant to Process Automation.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Emerson Delta

V and Rockwell PLC experience

+ PLC, HMI, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and/or Distributed Control Systems (DCS) manufacture training or certification

+

Experience with plant process historians or similar database storage and retrieval systems

+

Experience with ICS/PCN network architecture, communication and security

+ Experience in or understanding of mining and mineral processing and systems

+ Familiarity with or training in NFPA 70 and NEC or Electrical Journeyman Training

** What We Offer You*
* The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  **$90,000-$124,500.**  This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
