Project Overview
The City of Maricopa is seeking a firm to provide Architect/Engineering (A/E) services for a Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) project at the intersection of Honeycutt Road and White & Parker Roads. The project includes widening Honeycutt Road from a two‑lane to a four‑lane roadway through the intersection, expanding White & Parker Roads through the intersection, relocating the traffic signal, designing street lighting, realigning the existing MSIDD drainage channel, relocating and/or widening the box culvert on the east side of the intersection, relocating and/or undergrounding MSIDD laterals, and handling the ED3 Power Lines.
Coordination with WAPA power lines will be required.
The work will begin with a Project Assessment (PA) that presents two concept options at the 15% design stage along with an engineer’s estimate for each concept. The City will review and direct the A/E team on which concept to advance to the 30% design stage, including an engineer’s estimate and final PA. Depending on construction funds, the A/E will continue design services through 60%, 90%, and 100% sealed construction documents, which will include submittal review, conflict resolution, and record drawings.
DeliverablesDeliverables must conform to the City of Maricopa Engineering Design Standards Manual and Design Standards Appendix. Deliverables include plans submitted to the Development Services Department for review and permitting conformance, lead design progress meetings, and coordination with the City’s Project Manager, city staff, and third‑party utilities as required.
Design ScheduleThe design duration for the PA is eight (8) months from Notice to Proceed (NTP). Upon issuance of NTP for 100% construction documents, the design duration is ten (10) months.
