Start/End Dates: 6/8/2026 - 12/7/2026

Location: Tempe, AZ (hybrid-3 days a week onsite)

• Develops and designs packaging equipment and materials for safe, convenient and attractive transport of goods under a variety of conditions.
• Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to determine the required type of packaging materials and to maximize convenience, utility and function based on the product's physical characteristics, safety and special‑handling requirements.
• Evaluates packaging and transporting methods and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Evaluates and recommends efficient packing procedures, innovations in packaging materials, and utilization of sealing and fastening devices.
• This is an individual contributor role that requires the use of judgement in applying professional expertise and is expected to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Job requires an understanding and application of procedures and concepts of own discipline.
• The job requires attention to detail in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information.

• Author engineering test protocols.
• Work with sourcing to monitor external vendor test and delivery status.
• Review test data and assess success criteria.
• Work through failure analysis if applicable.
• Collaborate with CFT to communicate status and needs.

• Regulated industry packaging design
• Regulated industry packaging Design Verification/validation
• Packaging test failure RCA experience

• Supplier management 2+ years
• Project leadership 2+ years

• Bachelor's degree in packaging engineering or related field and 2+ years' packaging industry experience OR
• Associate's Degree in packaging or related field and 4+ years' packaging industry experience
