* ** Where You Will Work *
* Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

** What You Will Do*
* + Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures and assist in the identification and implementation of corrective actions or technologies.

+ Consider cost impact for recommended action plans for correcting downtime issues on installed equipment.

+ Ensure continuous production is uninterrupted by equipment failures.

+ Reports on Key Performance Indices.

+ Analyze current CMMS data for equipment health indicators and prepare reports.

+ Perform onsite evaluation of existing processes and equipment and make recommendations for improvement.

+ Perform other duties as required.

** What You Bring To Freeport*
* + Bachelor's degree in an appropriate Engineering discipline with no experience required.

+ Working knowledge of MSOffice suite including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project.

+ Knowledge and understanding of good engineering practices and principles.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Self-starter with solid integrity.

+ Understand the importance of safety, legality and quality.

** Preferred Qualifications*
* - Reliability Engineering experience through internships, co-ops, academic projects, or industry experience.

- Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance principles.

- Experience analyzing equipment failures and using data to support reliability improvements.

- Familiarity with CMMS systems such as SAP.

- Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, or other condition monitoring technologies is preferred.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Mining, mineral processing, heavy industrial, or manufacturing experience preferred.

** What We Offer You*
* The estimated annual pay range for this role is currently  **$75,000-$104,000** . This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
