Job Summary
Under moderate supervision, provides analysis to the particular area of the business they support, analyzes and reports on monthly financial statements, maintains databases and other sources of information, supports strategic projects leveraging financial and analytic capabilities, assists in the budget process, and responds to ad‑hoc reporting requests and user questions.
Responsibilities- Update and maintain financial information.
- Provide reporting and analytics to ensure operational profitability.
- Identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
- Participate in the formation of the budget.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Participate in professional development activities.
- Participate in special projects involving financial analysis.
- Education
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related area.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or an advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Work Experience
Preferred:
Experience in financial analysis, forecasting and reporting.
Experience with Fin Thrive Contract Manager and Fin Thrive Modeler is preferred.
Experience supporting healthcare contract modeling, rate analysis, or payer reimbursement modeling.
Ability to interpret contract terms and translate them into accurate financial models. - Certifications
Preferred:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or actively testing for certification. - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
• Computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information. Proficiency with Windows applications and office software packages.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Good judgment and decision‑making skills.
Medium work: may require lifting between 20 and 50 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or less than 10 pounds constantly. Must be able to stoop, bend, reach, grab, sit or stand for prolonged periods, and work a flexible schedule. Exposure to hazardous medications or waste may occur. No occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
