Medical Assistant Family Practice

Overview

Panner Health Clinic is looking for a compassionate and caring Medical Assistant (MA) to join our family‑centered primary care practice in Chandler, Arizona. The MA will assist clinicians with clinical and administrative tasks, provide an excellent patient experience, and work across multiple locations within the Banner Health system.

Monday‑Friday, 7am‑5pm (40 hour weekly). The MA will float between Banner Med Grp locations:
Banner Med Grp 1435 S Alma School Rd, Banner Children’s‑ 3493 S Mercy Rd Bldg 15, Banner Health Ctr‑ 155 E Warner Rd, Banner Med Grp‑ 17900 N Porter Rd, Banner Med Grp‑ 4530 E Ray Rd Suite 150.

• Prepare patients for exam and treatment; record vital signs, symptoms, chief complaint, and pain scores.
• Assist providers with exams and minor office procedures (e.g., phlebotomy, ear irrigation, EKG) while maintaining universal precautions and PPE.
• Coordinate patient care including pre‑certifications, referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, scheduling, and communication of test results.
• Provide clerical support with medical records, billing, and inventory monitoring.
• Maintain clean exam rooms, disinfect equipment, and perform basic equipment maintenance.
• Administer medications in accordance with established policies or as directed.
• Complete onboarding, simulation training, and any other projects within scope.

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant training program.
• Uncertified MAs will have 12 months to obtain national certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or BLS). Banner will cover certification costs.
• Strong computer skills with EMR, scheduling software, and medical terminology.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
• Certified BLS and Arizona Fingerprint Clearance (for behavioral health positions) if applicable.

• Experience with office medical procedures and treatments.
• Knowledge of insurance, managed care operations, EMR, and scheduling software.
