What You’ll Do

This is a great opportunity for a Therapist to join our dynamic department in the City of Maricopa. (The city of Maricopa, in Pinal County, is 25 miles southwest of Chandler, AZ).

In this position, you will provide direct clinical service including individual, family, and group therapy for families, youth, and adults.

Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating individual and family counseling
  • Performing clinical liaison duties for assigned clients
  • Ensuring quality service delivery, including clinical care and all associated duties
  • Maintaining all client records in accordance with agency policies and procedures, including appropriate intake and risk assessments, diagnosis, service planning, progress notes, discharge planning, termination documentation, and inter‑agency reports
  • Attending meetings and training as requested
  • Working forty hours per week with flexible hours as needed to accommodate family schedules
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Master’s degree required. Course of Study:
    Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or directly related field.
  • Licensure preferred but not required:
    Must be eligible for licensure.
  • Experience working with GMHSA, SMI and Children services preferred.
  • Experience or knowledge of best practice therapeutic approaches.
  • Organized, reliable, with knowledge of community resources, trauma‑informed, and able to individualize treatment.
  • Valid AZ driver’s license with no infractions for the past 3 years.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Bi‑lingual (Spanish) preferred. Differential per hour available.
  • At least 21 years of age at time of employment.
Additional Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Remain calm in crisis situations, work independently and cooperatively, recognize personal limitations, and relate positively and with empathy to all persons regardless of age, race, creed, gender or sexual orientation.
  • Maintain professional conduct consistent with ethical professional practice and the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community and business partners.
  • If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid Arizona driver license and appropriate liability insurance approved by EMPACT‑SPC’s liability insurance carrier is required. A 3‑year state driving record with no major infractions or excessive driving violations must be provided at hire.
