Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of 2 more years

Schedule:

8 hours/day

Credentialing/Onboarding Time: 6-8 weeks

License: Current, valid, unrestricted pharmacist license in any state, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or a U.S. Territory

• Basic Life Support (BLS) - required

Pharmacy degree (Doctor of Pharmacy or equivalent); board certification required.

Minimum 36 months (3 years) of pharmacist experience, including at least 12 months in the specialty required for the position

• Proficiency with IHS Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• Basic computer/IT skills
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak) sufficient for patient and staff communication
• Demonstrated cultural awareness/sensitivity toward American Indian and Alaska Native (Navajo) practices
• Ability to work in a rural, resource‑limited setting

• Provide outpatient and community health pharmacy services in accordance with IHS, Joint Commission, and CMS standards
• Document all patient care activities completely, accurately, and timely in the EHR
• Comply with patient safety, infection control, and facility safety reporting requirements
• Maintain required licensure, certifications, and credentialing throughout performance
• Participate in departmental peer review per Joint Commission standards
• Maintain professional conduct and ensure continuity of patient care (including coverage during absences)
• Safeguard PHI in compliance with HIPAA, the Privacy Act, and the Business Associate Agreement
• Wear Government‑issued  at all times while performing services
