Patient Care Tech - PRN - Emergency Department

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a clinical position responsible for the delivery of direct patient care, utilizing the established standards of care and standards practice for the patient population it serves. Through collaboration with all members of the health‑care team, strives to support a patient centered culture and gain knowledge and skills to further the practice of the quality of patient services provided Patient Care Technician functions under the direction of an RN, reports to the Resource Nurse and/or the Chief Nursing Officer and exercises independent judgement in applying professional knowledge required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified responsibilities in the delivery of quality patient care.
This position is safety sensitive and subject to WMRMC’s Drug & Alcohol Policy.
Paramedic certification preferred but not required
Required Education- High school diploma or equivalent
- Possess medical training most often achieved through completion on and EMT or certified nursing assistant program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Current AZ CNA certification or hold current licensure with legally recognized scope of practice equal to or greater than that of a CNA in the State of AZ or current EMT/AEMT/Paramedic, certification with legally recognized scope of practice
