Location: Pinetop-Lakeside
Four Pillars Recovery is seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to join our team in Pinetop, AZ. Key Responsibilities- Support patient admission, orientation, and daily treatment activities
- Monitor patient behavior, whereabouts, and safety precautions
- Conduct vital signs checks and specimen collection/testing when assigned
- Assist with hygiene and daily living care as needed
- Provide therapeutic support and use approved crisis de-escalation interventions
- Document observations and interventions accurately in the EMR
- Communicate patient concerns to the clinical team promptly
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Oversee clients care and treatment schedules
- Promote a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment
- Responsible for telephones and answering incoming inquiries regarding agency.
- Assist in case management activities to coordinate care across various services
- Assist with admissions, including searching patients and their belongings
- Complete all charting, notes, and documentation before the end of the shift
- High school diploma, GED or 1 year work experience
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Understanding of substance use disorders, withdrawal symptoms, and detox protocols
- Knowledge of co-occurring psychiatric conditions and behavioral responses
- Ability to recognize signs of deterioration or emergency and alert clinical team
- Proficient in crisis intervention and the use of de-escalation techniques
- Therapeutic communication skills including active listening, empathy, and boundary-setting
- Ability to facilitate basic therapeutic groups under supervision
- Cultural sensitivity and awareness of how background influences treatment engagement
