Pharmacy Manager

As a Pharmacy Manager at Walmart, you will lead daily operations of a high volume retail pharmacy, ensuring accurate, safe, and timely dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional patient care. You will supervise and develop pharmacists and technicians, oversee scheduling, workflow, and inventory, and maintain strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substances and immunizations. Partner with store leadership to grow clinical services, optimize quality and performance metrics, and build trusted relationships with patients, prescribers, and the community in a fast paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing
• Supervise, train, and schedule pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, fostering a high performing team culture
• Maintain full compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and Walmart policies, including controlled substance management
• Deliver clinical services such as immunizations, MTM, and patient counseling to improve health outcomes
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste control to ensure optimal stock levels and cost efficiency
• Monitor quality, safety, and performance metrics, implementing process improvements as needed
• Resolve complex patient, prescriber, and insurance issues, including prior authorizations and billing problems
• Collaborate with store and market leadership to grow pharmacy business and community outreach programs
• Ensure accurate documentation, recordkeeping, and audit readiness for all pharmacy activities
• Promote a culture of respect, inclusion, and customer service aligned with Walmart's values
