Archie Hendricks Sr. Skilled Nursing Facility
- Sells, AZ 85634, GENERAL PURPOSE Provide non-clinical clerical assistance to Nurses and Nursing Staff in the Nursing Home while providing excellent customer service to all staff, residents, and visitors. Work hours may consist of 10- or 12-hour shifts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION In addition to performing Essential Functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions based upon the requirements of the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
  • Greet and direct all residents, visitors, and staff in a positive, caring, and professional manner.
  • Coordinate all admissions, transfers and discharges with nursing and admission staff.
  • Receive and direct all calls and deliver messages to the appropriate staff or residents in a professional manner.
  • Place calls to the physicians and others as requested by the staff.
  • Schedule all appointments, tests, treatments, and transportation.
  • Fax/Docu Sign and copy documents as requested by nursing, social workers, doctors, etc.
  • Forward all labs and H/P updates to the provider.
  • Submit work orders for unit repairs.
  • Assist with designated chart audits to ensure completeness.
  • Will assist Purchasing and Inventory Department as directed and needed.
  • Assure that all resident charts are stocked with correct forms.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • All staff are required to always follow all safety regulations and precautions.
  • Staff must ensure that their department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are maintained.
  • Report all hazardous conditions/equipment to immediate supervisor/manager.
  • Report all accidents/incidents to immediate supervisor/manager within 24hrs.
  • All staff must wear protective clothing and equipment when handling infectious waste and or blood/body fluids or when doing Hazardous work i.e., working with chemicals, electrical or day to day maintenance repairs.
  • All Staff are required to participate in the O’odham Centered Care
    - Managers/Supervisors will help staff in participating in O’odham Centered Care.
  • Recognize your role as part of the QAPI efforts of your organization.
  • Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work.
  • Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts.
  • Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization.
  • Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success.
  • Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent Combination of education and experience.
