As a Night Auditor you are responsible for running all end of day financial reports, overseeing security of the property, and ensuring guest satisfaction and requests are met as the sole front office teammate during the overnight period.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of the hotel
- Make and confirm guest reservations
- Verify guests" credit and establish how they will pay for the accommodation upon check-in
- Keep record of room availability and guests' accounts using property management system
- Perform simple bookkeeping activities, such as balancing receipts and revenue for the day, and perform income audit on all revenues posted
- Review accounts and charges with guests during the checkout process
- Contact overnight housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems
- Respond to inquiries pertaining to hotel services, registration of guests, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
- Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary
- Complete "bucket checks" to ensure all accounts are current and comply with standards established by the hotel's Controller
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Communicate clearly, whether in writing or verbally
- Ability to communicate in English, verbal and written
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- A great smile, attitude and desire to work with an energetic team!
- Experience in a hotel or resort setting.
- Must be able to remain upright and be able to continuously move on a firm surface for an 8–10‑hour shift.
- Must be able to move at least 20 pounds up to 5 feet high without another person's aid.
- Must be able to assist guests with luggage and set up event rooms.
