Arizona is the next chapter for Sprintlaw.

We’ve chosen Arizona because its approach to Alternative Business Structures closely aligns with what we’ve been building internationally for years: using technology, new business models and great lawyers to make legal services more accessible to businesses.

We’re currently seeking approval from the Arizona Supreme Court to operate as an Alternative Business Structure in Arizona. We don’t currently operate as a law firm in Arizona and won’t provide legal services through the proposed ABS unless and until the relevant approval has been granted.

We’re now starting to build our team in Arizona in anticipation of approval, and we’re looking for a commercial lawyer who wants to join us at an early stage.

As one of our first lawyers in Arizona, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in how we set up and develop our legal services, processes and ways of working as the team grows.

We’re looking for an Arizona-qualified lawyer with around 2–4 years of corporate and commercial experience to join our legal team.

Following ABS approval and commencement of our Arizona legal-services operation, the role will involve working directly with startups and small businesses across a broad range of corporate and commercial work, including drafting and reviewing contracts, general corporate matters, startup fundraising, technology agreements, privacy and employment.

You’ll be responsible for managing your own projects and clients, with support from our Compliance Attorney where needed. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable handling standard corporate and commercial work independently, while knowing when to raise more complex or unfamiliar issues with the team.

Prior to ABS approval, the role will be limited to permitted preparatory, operational and other non-client legal-services activities as we prepare for launch.

This is a remote role and you can be based anywhere in Arizona. You’ll also work closely with our broader team as we develop our Arizona legal offering and processes.

Following ABS approval, you may work on a broad mix of corporate and commercial matters, including:

• Drafting and reviewing commercial contracts
• Filing trademark applications
• Services, consulting and vendor agreements
• SaaS and technology agreements
• NDAs, licensing and intellectual property agreements
• Company formation and general corporate work
• Shareholder and corporate governance matters
• Startup fundraising and investment documents
• Website terms and online business agreements
• Privacy and data protection
• Employment and independent contractor agreements
• General commercial advice for startups and small businesses

We don’t handle litigation or disputes, so this is very much a transactional and advisory role.

You don’t need to be an expert in every area above. We’re much more interested in finding someone with strong corporate and commercial fundamentals who enjoys variety and wants to develop a broad practice.

Any client‑facing legal‑services responsibilities in this role will commence only after the required regulatory approval has been granted.

You must be an active member in good standing of the State Bar of Arizona and authorized to practice law in Arizona.

You must also be based in Arizona, although you can live anywhere in the state. This is a remote role.
