Pinto Valley is an open-pit copper mine located at the west end of the historic Globe-Miami mining district of central Arizona, approximately 80 miles east of Phoenix. Pinto Valley has been in operation since 1972 and has produced more than four billion pounds of copper. Acquired by Capstone from BHP in 2013, the mine is fully permitted through 2039 and a study is underway to potentially extend the mine life through 2050.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating the safe, efficient, and accurate movement of finished products, including copper cathodes, copper concentrate, and molybdenum, from the mine site to customers. This role oversees outbound logistics, shipping documentation, metal accounting, inventory reconciliation, and transportation activities to ensure products are delivered on time and in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Working closely with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Supply Chain, and external logistics providers, the Logistics Specialist maintains the integrity of inventory and metal accounting records, supports cost-effective transportation strategies, and drives continuous improvement across the logistics process.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Logistics Coordination:
Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily and weekly shipments of copper concentrate, copper cathodes, and molybdenum products to meet production and customer delivery requirements.
* Shipment Planning:
Coordinate shipment schedules with Operations, Commercial, transportation providers, and port facilities to achieve on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance.
* Shipping Documentation:
Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping instructions, export documentation, and other required transportation records.
* Metal Accounting:
Maintain accurate reconciliation of finished product inventory across site storage, in-transit shipments, port inventories, and vessel shipments.
