Quality Assurance Technician (Evening shift)
Position Summary:
Assist in ensuring our products meet the highest standards for safety, consistency, and compliance. Work directly on the production floor, reviewing documentation, performing inspections, and supporting teams with quality guidance.
This role operates on the 2nd shift, Monday‑Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM.
Onboarding ScheduleFour to five‑day onboarding program from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. All new employees are expected to complete this onboarding during their first week.
Responsibilities- Perform in‑process testing and AQL inspections
- Submit samples for analytical and microbiological testing
- Review batch documentation and production logbooks for accuracy
- Approve pre‑startup activities and equipment checks
- Release batch records and work orders
- Conduct daily audits and floor walks to ensure compliance
- Support teams with GMP, SOP, and documentation guidance
- Participate in shift review meetings
- Follow safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or quality assurance preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move throughout the shift
- Comfortable working around powders, chemicals, and food allergens
- Flexible to work overtime based on business needs
- Proficiency with using computers, tablets, and basic software (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, PQM, or Captiva preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
- Understanding of quality systems and manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Team‑oriented and dependable
The approximate hourly pay is $22.98 plus a $1.50 hour shift differential. Pay range is a good faith estimate and may vary.
