On the Medical Surgical unit, the Med Surg Nurse Manager will guide a high-acuity adult inpatient med-surg/acute care service that thrives on coordinated throughput, precise care pathways, and compassionate bedside excellence. Reporting to a seasoned Nursing Director of Medical-Surgical Services, the Med Surg Nurse Manager will be supported by charge RNs, clinical educators, and unit-based councils while partnering closely with physicians, APPs, pharmacy, PT/OT, case management, and social work. The Med Surg Nurse Manager will lead staffing and scheduling strategies, throughput and capacity initiatives, quality and safety performance (falls, HAPI, HAI prevention), budgets and resource stewardship, accreditation readiness, and engagement programs across a team of friendly nurses and a diverse healthcare professional workforce that values inclusion, respect, and compassionate, relationship-based care.
