Location: Ganado

The L&D RN provides comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and neonatal care. Nurses work closely with physicians, midwives, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive maternal and fetal nursing care during labor and delivery.
  • Monitor vitals, fetal heart rate, and labor progression; recognize distress signals.
  • Document all patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with obstetric team to develop and adjust birth plans.
  • Administer medications and manage anesthesia- or pain-relief protocols as prescribed.
  • Lead or participate in rapid-response and code events with clinical leadership.
  • Excel in a results-driven environment with measurable targets and clear pipelines.
  • Educate patients and families on labor expectations, procedures, and postpartum care.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing performance insights and outcomes.
  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to onboarding and professional development.
  • Ensure accurate charge capture and documentation for billing and administrative purposes.
Experience/Qualifications
  • Active RN license with obstetric/gynecology experience in labor and delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor fetal heart rate and labor progression accurately.
  • Proficient documentation in electronic medical records with precise charge capture.
  • Ability to lead rapid-response and code events with clinical leadership.
  • Experience administering analgesia/anesthesia protocols and maternal sedation as prescribed.
  • Strong collaboration with obstetric team to develop and adjust birth plans.
  • Commitment to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance-driven mindset with accountability for personal contribution within a team.
  • Patient and family education on labor expectations, procedures, and postpartum care.
  • Mentorship and participation in onboarding and professional development of staff.
