Banner University Medical Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient care in the Stroke Unit at Banner University Medical Center South Campus Tucson (BUMCT), a nationally certified Level II Trauma Center.
Responsibilities- Clinical management of patients in the Stroke Unit
- Performance of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
- Interpretation of diagnostic tests
- Prescription of medications
- Patient and family education
- Current Acute Care Nurse Practitioner board certification
- DEA license, BLS and ACLS certification
- ENLS training preferred (can be completed within 1 month of hire)
- Prior inpatient and acute care experience preferred; on-the-job training will be provided for candidates without such experience.
- Preferred neuroscience or critical care background
- Strong team-based approach to critical care
