Veterinary Technician – White Mountain Animal Hospital

Join our fun and friendly team in Pinetop‑Lakeside, Arizona. White Mountain Animal Hospital is a small animal hospital offering general medicine and emergency services, looking for a Veterinary Technician eager to multitask, learn, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Who We’re Looking For

We need an experienced Veterinary Technician who is dependable, detail‑oriented, and a team player. The ideal candidate will have experience rooming patients, surgical assisting, drawing blood, running bloodwork, working with X‑rays and proper positioning, handling and restraining animals, educating clients, and being a positive motivator.

Requirements
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (preferred)
  • 1+ year veterinary experience
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for animals and owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Accurate medical history collection
  • TPR certifications
  • Assistance with dog and cat restraint
  • Blood draws (cephalic, saphenous, jugular)
  • IV catheter placement
  • Digital radiology positioning
  • Dental scaling, polishing, anesthetic monitoring
  • Anesthesia handling (induction, intubation, monitoring, aseptic technique)
  • Laboratory skills (ear and fecal cytology; Idexx equipment)
  • Client education/communication
  • Cross‑trained with reception & kennel work
