Responsibilities
- Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
- Regular attendance and punctuality
- Demonstrates skill in using the computer to access information, perform complex mathematical calculations and prepare reports
- Sets up, optimizes, and calibrates ICP/ICP-MS/CVAA independently
- Analyzes samples independently
- Reviews, evaluates, calculates, enters, uploads and verifies data as required
- Documents data following SOPs
- Performs instrument troubleshooting
- Performs non‑routine analyses with limited supervision
- Performs quantitative transfers and dilutions
- Reads and understands the principles of instruments used for assigned work
- Performs effective written and oral communication with coworkers
- Evaluates current analytical system performance and suggests/implements improvements to maximize quality and productivity
- Maintains ICP/ICP-MS/CVAA instrumentation
- Assists with updating SOPs as needed to ensure compliance
- Performs IDL, IEC, linear range, and MDL determinations
- Keeps individual training records updated
- Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
- Performs other duties as assigned
Role: 2nd Shift, Mon‑Fri 3 pm‑11:30 pm. Training:
Mon‑Fri 8 am‑4:30 pm.
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree in Chemistry or Biology, or related field
- Professional working proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
- Some related experience with inductively coupled plasma techniques (ICP and ICP MS) / atomic absorption techniques
- ICP‑OES or ICP‑MS experience preferred
- Some familiarity with basic statistics and chemical math; problem‑solving ability, ability to retain large amounts of information
- Pay range: $18–19 per hour + 10% shift differential
