The (USA) Specialist, Physical Security plays a critical role in developing and implementing security protocols, training, and emergency response strategies to safeguard associates, assets, and facilities. This position ensures compliance with corporate security standards and regulatory requirements while providing tactical responses to incidents such as workplace violence, fire, and active shooter situations. The specialist collaborates with internal teams and external partners to maintain a secure environment, conducts investigations, and supports threat mitigation efforts.

This role demands strong operational expertise, crisis management skills, and a commitment to upholding integrity and safety across all security functions.

• Support development and implementation of security protocols, programs, and training to enhance safety and compliance with corporate standards.
• Respond to emergency situations by initiating incident command and providing tactical security responses for life safety events.
• Implement and monitor security systems including alarm, intrusion detection, and threat management to ensure facility protection.
• Investigate reported threats, policy violations, and security breaches, assisting with mitigation and resolution efforts.
• Assess visitor threat levels and escort critical information and merchandise securely.
• Ensure regulatory compliance by identifying and addressing safety and security violations.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to maintain a safe working environment and provide emergency response support.

• Proven experience in physical security operations, emergency response, and incident management.
• Strong knowledge of crisis management, threat assessment, and tactical security response protocols.
• Ability to implement and improve security systems, including alarm and intrusion detection responses.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements such as OSHA, PCI, and fire safety codes.
• Skilled in conducting investigations related to security breaches, policy violations, and threat mitigation.
• Effective collaboration with internal teams and external agencies to maintain a safe environment.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and adaptability in dynamic security situations.

• Successful completion of all core components of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy within 90 days of hire.
• Successful completion of any new core components (or re‑certification requirements) of the Physical Security Specialist Training Academy during employment.
• 1 year’s experience in security, law enforcement, military, emergency services, or related area.
