Duties
- Serve as the system Administrator, Operator and Contracting Officer's Representative for the Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS).
- Perform administrative duties on the Remote Security Monitor (RSM) console as described in the Installation Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System (ICIDS) manuals.
- Prepare reports and recommend appropriate corrective action where security requirements are not being observed; and make adjustments in the physical security system as needed.
- Resolve problems or conflicts between physical security requirements and organizational missions.

Conditions of employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Shift work is required, or a change in work shift may be necessary. Hours of work encompass fluctuating tours of duty to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 5% of the time.
- Incumbent must already be or capable of receiving a passing score and/or receive certificate of successful completion in the following areas:
Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System-IV (ICIDS-IV) Administrator Course, (cont. below) - (cont.) ICIDS-IV Operator Course, ICIDS-IV Maintenance Course, Conventional Physical Security Course, and Electric Security Systems Design Course.
- This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program. This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13.
- This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPeD Certification:
Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first two years of employment.

One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Performing functions in administering, operating, and testing security intrusion detection system; 2) Implementing physical security policies and procedures;
AND
3) Providing physical security advice to security staff and management officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position such as National Security studies, Computer…
