Grand Canyon Scenic Airlines, a leader in aerial sightseeing and part of the Papillon family of companies, is seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Associate to support our airport facilities and employee housing operations at the Grand Canyon.

This hands-on role is essential to maintaining safe, efficient, and well-functioning buildings and systems across airport facilities and company housing. You will perform preventative, routine, and emergency maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including low-voltage electrical and life safety equipment
• Conduct general repairs including drywall, painting, minor structural work, and fixture replacement
• Complete work orders and accurately document repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities
• Evaluate equipment and determine repair versus replacement needs
• Coordinate with the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor and Housing Manager on projects and supply needs
• Perform snow removal and basic landscape maintenance as needed
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition
• Travel between airport facilities and housing locations to perform assigned duties
• Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding maintenance priorities and safety concerns
• Perform other related duties as assigned

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1–3 years of general maintenance or facilities experience preferred (housing, hospitality, commercial facilities, or airport environments)
• Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and HVAC systems
• Ability to diagnose and resolve building system issues
• Proficiency with hand and power tools
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office or similar software for documentation and reporting)
• Ability to read basic blueprints and operate equipment such as forklifts or lifts (as applicable)
• Strong time management, organization, and communication skills
• Valid Arizona driver’s license required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Indoor and outdoor work environments, including noisy, dusty, and confined spaces
• Exposure to varying weather conditions and potential mechanical/electrical hazards
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crawl, and work safely at heights using lifts and scaffolding
• Availability to work weekends, holidays, nights, and overtime as needed for emergencies

Compliance & Safety

This is a safety-sensitive position subject to FAA regulations, company safety policies, and regulatory compliance requirements. While not subject to DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations, this role is subject to the Company’s non-DOT drug and alcohol testing program.
