TempA Conveyor Electrician installs, wires, maintains, and troubleshoots the electrical and control systems of material handling and conveyor networks. They are heavily relied upon in manufacturing, mining, and logistics to construct systems, perform preventive maintenance, and execute fast repairs to minimize operational downtime.

Key Responsibilities
• System Installation:
Wire electrical components for conveyors, including motors, sensors, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), and control panels.
• Conduit & Wiring:
Run and bend conduit (EMT and Rigid), pull wires, and perform clean, accurate terminations.
• Troubleshooting:
Diagnose electrical and automation faults, replace faulty components, and perform system testing prior to startup and commissioning.
• Blueprint Reading:
Read, interpret, and work from electrical schematics, 3D models, and layout drawings.
• Safety & Compliance:
Enforce strict safety protocols—such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)—and maintain compliance with local and national electrical codes.
• Cross-Team

Collaboration:

Assist mechanical teams with structural conveyor alignment and work with controls engineers on system automation.

Typical Requirements
•

Experience:

1 to 5+ years of industrial electrical or conveyor installation experience.
• Education & Licensing:
High school diploma or GED; an active Journeyman Electrician card or state electrical license is heavily preferred.
• Physical & Travel:
Ability to stand, bend, lift heavy materials, and work elevated heights. Many roles are traveling positions for nationwide fulfillment and distribution center rollouts.
