Moon Valley Nurseries is looking for a Yard Crew Member / Laborer who will be responsible for manual labor related to stocking and fulfillment of customer orders onsite at the nursery's store. The candidate will receive on-the-job training and will have an opportunity to gain new skills, knowledge and experience.

• Perform manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of customer orders in the landscape nursery.
• Haul and mix topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using hand tools.
• Dig, rake, and screen soil to fill buckets and boxes for planting.
• Demonstrated availability to work any day of the week.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Ability to perform manual labor.
• Previous experience with operating power tools, hand tools, and other equipment preferred.
• Ability to follow specific instructions and safety protocols.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with colleagues, managers, and vendors, sometimes quickly for safety purposes. The position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing throughout the day. The employee must frequently reach for, pull, lift, and/or move items weighing up to and over 50lbs. The employee must be able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in possibly extreme conditions including rain, heat, sun and wind.

The position is expected to be full-time and may be scheduled on weekdays and weekends.
