Utility Worker

Job Details:
Entry level position located in Sedona, AZ. Full-time role in Operations. Education requirement is High School - GED. Salary range: $20.01 hourly.

• Work under general direction and supervision from UW III and UW IV.
• Assist with the general maintenance of the water distribution system, including meter change-outs, water main and water service repair/replacement, and water storage tank maintenance.
• Perform independent work on general property maintenance (painting, cleaning, sorting), customer notifications, 1-inch and smaller meter change-outs, and other tasks not requiring continual direction.
• Prepare legible, clear, concise, and complete written reports; map postings; communicate information related to customer service; maintain proper conduct and a positive Company image.
• Be available to work overtime in emergency and planned job assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

• Must be a high school graduate with strong mechanical/pipe fitting/construction aptitude. Pipe fitting or construction experience is preferred, but not required.

• Must have a valid, appropriate Arizona driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.

• Hand tools, power tools, compaction and other equipment related to water distribution system maintenance may be used.
• May operate a Company vehicle.

• Must be physically able to perform job duties that may involve walking, bending, kneeling, digging, and lifting items of at least seventy-five (75) pounds.
• Must be able to work outside in all types of weather.
