Maintenance Tech

Real Estate Equities is seeking a Maintenance Tech to support well-maintained, resident-focused apartment communities. This role is responsible for completing work orders, diagnosing and repairing building systems, and performing preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and appliances. The Maintenance Tech will respond to emergency calls, ensure common areas and units are in good condition, and support turnovers between residents. You'll collaborate closely with the property team, communicate professionally with residents, and uphold safety, quality, and integrity standards while contributing to a positive community environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident and building work orders promptly and professionally
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance issues
• Perform preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment
• Assist with unit turns, including repairs, painting, and cleaning to prepare apartments for new residents
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and participate in on-call rotation as needed
• Maintain common areas, grounds, and building exteriors to company standards
• Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with building codes and company policies
• Communicate clearly and courteously with residents and property staff
• Track and document maintenance activities using work order systems
• Support a resident-focused, team-oriented property culture
