Looking to hire Case Workers at PASO Home Study/Post Release Services Program REMOTE in Arizona, an affiliate of Rite of Passage. The Home Study/Post Release Services program, operated by PASO, a Rite of Passage affiliate, provides supportive services to unaccompanied immigrant children after release from ORR custody. Reporting to the Case Management/Personnel Supervisor, the HS/PRS Case Manager will conduct home studies, case management and supportive services to unaccompanied immigrant children once they are released to their sponsors in the assigned area.
Key Areas of Responsibility- Conduct home visits and phone contacts to assess safety and suitability of child’s placement with their caregiver and connect the child to community services to address risk factors.
- Ongoing case management with a focus on screening and making appropriate referrals to address child’s needs in placement, safety, education, health, mental health, legal/immigration proceedings, substance abuse, independent living, criminal/juvenile justice, and child enrichment activities.
- Provide crisis intervention services directly or connect family to services to ensure minor’s safety and well‑being in a crisis situation.
- Submit detailed documentation in compliance with PASO policies and procedures.
- Apply social work best practices for thorough assessments of child’s progress and services provided.
- Maintain regular and timely communication with supervisor about any issues concerning the child’s safety, stability, or well‑being in the placement.
- Participate in ongoing supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or another social service field with a focus on child and adolescent development.
- Fluency in Spanish required.
- At least 21 years of age.
- At least 1 year of experience with child welfare programs.
- Knowledge of community resources and ability to connect families to community services.
- Excellent clinical and crisis intervention skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Critical assessment and analysis skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively, multi‑task, determine priorities, and work independently.
- Ability to do home visits up to 70%.
- Knowledge of, and experience working with, refugee or immigrant children preferred.
- Cross‑cultural or international experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
