CDL Delivery Driver

Position Summary

The primary function of a delivery driver is to safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with company policies and Federal and State regulations, delivering all freight undamaged. Work as a team player to deliver, load/unload materials while providing a world class customer service experience.

• Inspect truck/trailer for defects to ensure safe operation.
• Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom truck and unload products at commercial and residential job sites.
• Deliver materials to assigned areas as directed by the customer, prioritizing personal safety and the safety of those around you.
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
• Report all accidents involving driver or company equipment.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs during load/unload.
• Deliver materials while maintaining a professional attitude and excellent customer service skills.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) – Minimum Class B, Class A strongly preferred.
• Clear three‑year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.

• Remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle 40% of the time.
• Lift heavy building materials up to 80 lbs for loading/unloading.
• Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs while unloading flatbed.
• Operate commercial motor vehicle and/or boom vehicle continuously.
• Judge distance while delivering materials and/or operating boom.
• Communicate with management and coworkers and exchange accurate information.
• Work outdoors while making deliveries.

• Prioritize job sites and deadlines.
• Manage stress depending on customer deadlines.
• Multitask effectively.
• Receive information and directions promptly.
• Communicate solutions quickly if problems occur.
• Demonstrate sound judgment.
