Job Title: CDL‑A Truck Driver

Employer: Multiple carriers (e.g., Longistics, Van Eerden Trucking, Medicare, etc.)

Location:

Various sites in Arizona (Tombstone, Bisbee, Cochise, Benson, etc.)

Job Summary: Heavy‑duties, OTR and local routes. Drivers transport cargo, operate trucks with front/side or rear‑end lift attachments, haul containers, perform pre‑trip & post‑trip inspections, and maintain DOT compliance. Responsibilities include safety checks, documentation, interacting with customers, and following route assignments.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Transport goods using company truck.
• Lead crew in loading shipments.
• Inspect shipments before loading.
• Perform accurate inventory.
• Assist in loading trucks and/or containers.
• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip safety inspections.
• Maintain required documentation and paperwork.
• Lift and carry household goods.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Willing to travel locally, intrastate, and/or interstate.
• Operate box truck or tractor‑trailer.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Reliable, on time, and able to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Required

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Real‑  DL.

Working Conditions:

• Indoors and outdoors.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and use of stairs.
• Long periods of driving.

Salary/Pay:

• Earn up to $100,000 per year, including 80
  
  CPM (75
  
  CPM base plus up to 5
  
  CPM in bonuses) and $2,200 for top weeks.
• Weekly minimum guaranteed pay as high as $1,725.
• $140 overnight/meal pay (example).
• OTR drivers earn up to $2,200/week.

College Intern Scholarship (for specific carriers):

• $500 scholarship for first full summer internship.
